I am currently utilizing Yardi Breeze which is a dumbed-down version of Yardi Voyager that only has a $400/month minimum.

You shouldn’t take on the voyage you haven’t prepared for and at the same time you’ll never get anywhere keeping yourself in the harbor. 

My company recently switched to Yardi Voyager about a month before I started the job. 

This is the most dangerous part because you then invite others into your ship to come along for the ride and you don’t notice the other ships led by experienced captains coming into harbor because you are too busy touting your horn of successful voyages.

I think the only other software that handles commercial well would be Yardi Voyager.

Perhaps you won't like all of what is explained in the beginning of your voyage, but with experience under your belt when you look back at it, that 'ah ha' moment will surely occur.

I used to push a raft for White water voyages.
