Is it worth it to renovate an out dated cabin (needs newer bathrooms, kitchen, staining )that is a 4 bedroom or buy and a newer 2 bedroom in this region?

Does anyone have a brand of deck stain and sealant that they love?

I am sanding and staining hardwoods in most areas, remodeling kitchen, baths, and upgrading lighting.

I can even use straight bleach on those stains that just won't come out.

I am wondering if it is smarter (in regards to selling the home for maximum profit) to stain, paint, or leave the deck alone as it is new.

In the front: kill the weeds on the driveway/curb, repaint the garage door, buy a product to remove the oil stains in the driveway, make a small mulch bed around the tree and plant flowers around the tree, plant some flowers, a bush or some sort of plant where the snow shovels are, to the right of the front door plant some bushes and flowers (using edging stone to separate the mulch and grass could look good), and repaint the front door and the trim to something more modern (yet won't clash) that will help the place pop despite the older look of the brick.
