They don't land here from Mars, they are coming from the same pool of people that make up the rest of the population, including (surprise, surprise!)

I am looking for any information I can find regarding building a community on a large parcel of land, selling the homes, and collecting lot rent. 

Last year, I purchased land and am in the process of building three additional villas, which I plan to sell in about nine months.

When you BRRR a property, since you can get ones that are in really rough shape and need to be rehabbed, can you deduct and depreciate those expenses off your taxes or do you just eat the expense?  

As someone who does this, we actually take really good care of the property because it needs to be in top shape for the corporate client.They usually pay a premium to market rent too.

My train of thought was I wanted the original hardwood to be in decent shape when/if I sell this place.

I had thoughts about getting jobs but had no luck in landing in one that matches with my criteria, which I think is a good thing in terms of my RE journey.

After some quick google searches Ohio isn't coming back as one of the top land lord friendly states. 

I also am considering buying land and building, so would love to hear thoughts on that as well.
