I joined BP like a year ago but haven't started soaking up the wealth of knowledge until now.

Planning on taking the next few months to soak up as much knowledge as I can before diving in.Looking for recommendations on markets that can cash-flow and aren't too sketchy so I can start learning how to run numbers and examine an area (just in view mode right now, but might as well be in an area that I can dive into when ready).Currently live in the SF bay area, so there's really not much local that works.  

We're talking about tearing up all the pee-soaked carpet (dogs..) and bleaching/disinfecting the concrete foundation underneath, replacing a majority of the second floor sub-floor, fixing the roof, fixing the HVAC, repairing the garage (door hanging on by a thread), scrubbing and disinfecting all the cabinets (roach feces everywhere), tearing up and replacing the landscaping, fixing the roof, inspecting and repairing any water damage... the list goes on and on.

I dived into the BiggerPockets forums and started soaking up as much information as I could along with listening to the Podcasts.Don't let time or distance stop you from starting I was halfway around the world working 14hr days 7 days a week and I still managed to put in five offers on cabins and met people are hear willing to share their knowledge and time.

For the last 4-5 months I've been jus soaking up knowledge left and right and slowly narrowing down the type of real estate I wannabe involved in which is wholesaling & rental proprieties.

Specifically Troy (metro Detroit area).Just trying to soak up as much knowledge and experience as I can.

I spread out 5 the first time and there were spots that soaked up some of the urine from the floor.

I'm currently going through the Ultimate Guide to Real Estate Investing and soaking up everything I can.

His strong anti-guru message saved thousands of people from getting soaked by guru.

Currently, I just have my one other SFR and want to soak up all the advice I can get from everyone here who have lots of experience with these types of investments/financing.
