Hi, if you're willing to put up with complaints, you can install pe-set thermostats or use the plastic boxes used in commercial buildings, but then if you use the box, your tenants will probably figure out to get the air on, just blow on it, to get the heat on, set a fan on the floor blowing up!

Blackstone isn't just a housing investor - and when they decide much larger market trends make sense for them to focus on PE or any other vehicle - they could have major impact on the housing market.

@Wilson Pe I just want to chime in and second what @Bryan Blankenship said about the relative importance of your TK team rather than your market.

Investors here do not buy for the current cap rate like the same reason you don't buy a stock with a high P/E for the current earnings.

I work in PE real estate and the recent noise in the equity markets, drop in commodities, the China story, and any other reason people can think of has added a lot of frothiness to investing in commercial real estate.

A lot easier way is to do a syndication, joint venture, PE or whatever.

And since PE’s mandate is to buy things when they are cheap, perhaps the dry powder is moving to where it can best be used in a downturn.

It seems as though the owner is just hard pressed for cash at this time pe.

Every journey is different but there are HUGE take-aways with the traditional work experience.With your EE background if you get more into the capital projects side of things (energy, etc) rather than small circuits, I found that experience to be very transferable and now use my engineering PE license quite a bit to take on value add projects and draw out designs (I now do structural design work in addition to EE work). 

A PE (professional engineer) is better.
