My reasons for joining BiggerPockets is to network with others in real estate as I learn the wholesale process.

I found George's group, attended, and joined, and I recommend you attend at least one meeting. 

I just recently joined BP as part of my REI education and due diligence.

I joined to gather more information and advice from people who have made the jump into this being there full time profession so any advice would be appreciated. 

Some of the groups cost money to join, because they include a training component, for those with no prior experience.

Join a few REIAs for sure.Oh, another tip that works in markets with few investors is zbuyer dot com.  

Another goal in parallel is also to build a REI portfolio for my family (2 awesome siblings & my parents).I came to join Bigger Pockets in order to learn from seasoned pros, beginners, & everything else in between & possibly even work with some of you in the future.

Additionally, I'm a part of a fast growing power team that is seeking to partner with reputable contractors interested in joining our team.

I know he pulled back from that but I think they manage all of their units with some VA's or actual employees now.Also the Best way to get into it is too meet people join us at one of the many networking events in the area, you can find some on the events page here on BP or just log into Meetup and search for nearby Real Estate Investing,
