A reasonable human would do something with the food in the fridge instead of letting it rot.

I got a few meth addict leaves mid month throws house keys to a random Trans homeless person he had a relationship with and they just move in to live in his place Old lady dies in unit , random family just  move in and won’t leave with no job or plan . tenant ghosts mid month leaves boxes of poopy adult toys in bedroom and hypodermic needles everywhere tendnts sign lease pretend to move in , but don’t then strangers from a big city move in convert  building to trap house and funnel drugs out the building day and night Tenants ghost me mid month steal my washer dryer fridge oven deep freezer drug addict inherited  tenant houses a local murderer in the attic on the run Normal tenant moves in learn later she’s a witch practicing  black magic in the unit casting spells and holding meetings  covering unit in black tenant has a toxic relationship with guy they break up he gets jealous and throws bricks through my windows of building . $$ dying cancer patient dies in unit and I apparently  he couldn’t make it to the bathroom and he just crspped everywhere around his bed till he passed away a couple weeks later , guess who cleaned it drug addict tenant gets admitted into psych ward leaves all appliances on with ac running non stop huge bill Tenant won’t pay i threaten he gets mad at me breaks every window in their unit then ghosts me Cocaine addict sneaks into triplex steals rent money from all three tenants the day before rents due to me tenant finds random mutt dogs feels very bad so he houses half a dozen of them in my 2 bed apartment .

So you have washer/dryer/fridge/stove/microwave for $3,000 so you’re going to replace them all once in 30 years? 

For example one of my properties had a primary (3-floor) staircase, and I cordoned off the entire second floor to give the traveling RN their personal studio...with 'wet bar' min fridge, microwave, hot plate, etc.

And yet over a year period I spent about 8k in CAPEX and maintenance taking care of deferred maintenance -- bad plumbing sections, new water heater, new oven, new fridge, repair of another oven, two new toilets, two new sinks, replacing the upstairs bath completely...I mean the list goes on and on.So I plead with you...do something right in this process and get yourself out to this house with a local person who can act in YOUR best interest. 

But the last fridge in my house that I am house hacking gave out, and I actually got a very nice brand new fridge at a scratch and dent warehouse.

I'm also making the kids clean out the fridge before I buy more food. 

We rent bikes and surfboards at our beach locations and sell cold drinks in our fridges.

Because of Covid, material prices are currently highly elevated and some things are unavailable for weeks...depending on your area, you could wait 5 weeks for a fridge, dishwasher, stove etc.... when normally you could get them delivered within a few days.Certain townships are easy to work with and others are not. 

To add the cabinet you are losing One option is just a small closet pantry next to the fridge, but not sure what way you are talking about the fridge facing.
