I was a pilot long before I was an engineer and decided I didn't want to go airlines, so since I was good at math I decided engineering would be fun and easy.

If you trade your UR points for miles at airlines/hotels instead of cash, you may get more value than 1% which is $0.01 per UR point.

Airlines make you pay a fee for checked bags or a 6oz bottle of gut-rot wine or another 20% on your ticket price for a seat with 4" of extra leg room.

I am currently working in the airline industry and I'm totally new to the real estate field and I was talking with a friend who has got me interested so I did some research and came across "bigger pockets" they say it's supposed to help you gain all of the knowledge you need to know about the business, so I'm currently navigating and going to be listening to podcasts to try and enlighten myself on real estate as much as I can.Thanks for reading :)

When I had my prior company I accumulated 2-million points that can transfer to any airline/travel, still have almost all of them for retirement travel. 

I just read an article in Forbes that predicts the uptick in short term rentals being used for family vacations where people can still "get away" and not have to travel via airlines and stay in hotels, but still have a nice place to stay. 

Last I heard, she was dating a commercial airline pilot that had multiple rentals in Florida.I spent some time doing some finish contract work.  

The government will also be bailing out (or seizing) the airlines; the auto industry; the trucking industry, etc.

Raise the rate, lower the occupancy, lower the rate, more heads in beds.Seems like the sweet spot for airlines and big hotels is somewhere between 70-80%.   

Instead, think of it like an airline cockpit—there’s a captain and a first officer.
