Hello everyone! My name is Methuselah Arnold. I've been looking around the site for a while now and after listening to and watching the webinar from last week I decided I need to take some action if I'm going to get serious about this aspect of my life. My immediate goals are to finish school and land a civil engineering job. Once those are accomplished my wife and I plan to invest in real estate. Until then I'm trying to figure out which direction to take our investing. The options seem endless and I'm having a hard time choosing one to focus on. My wife and I bought a condo last year using a VA loan. I couldn't pass up the no money down terms. Now that I've been reading here for a while I'm wondering if we made the wrong choice? We planned on living there for 4-5 years and then selling or renting out. When evaluating it as a rental it is cash flow negative so selling seems like the best option unless rents go up significantly in the next few years. Until that time comes I'm excited to learn as much as I can and happy to be part of the amazing BP community.
