I just received notification that my EIDL loan has been approved, but I'm pretty spooked about taking the funds for a variety of different reasons.  

COVID had a couple buyers spooked so we had a couple contracts drop.

There is also a good chance it may spook your seller, and he may let you out of this deal.

In the negotiating phase, you don't need to bring this all up and spook your seller, but it's good to at least ask the seller, "How much do you estimate in costs for deferred maintenance / cap ex repairs?" 

I currently own a home in the Bay Area but to be honest this recent increasing onslaught of wildfires has me spooked.

It will be a "spooked" thing as opposed to an actual structural issue.

You let them spook you and stall your plans.

I've installed a 4mm click vinyl plank from Lowe's in a kitchen and its been as good as the regular laminate I've laid lots of, but the glue strip spooks me as a complete unknown.

About a 1/4 mile up the road, I saw where they broke thru the fence (probably spooked by lightning...).Now this may not be as funny as CHICKENS, but even in Texas, it's not every day you pass a couple of cows walking down the road...
