We have several friends that make pretty decent income in our area doing this as we are a summer tourist travel spot.

Charleston is actually such a popular tourist destination that the revenue from operating illegally more than offsets the risks and fines, which is creating a huge black market in the city for Airbnbs.  

All of my “neighbors” are also vacation rentals in a highly trafficked tourist area.

We cashflow 30% ROI in the last 12 months but only stay 50% occupied due to the tourist season.

Properties around national parks, where tourists stay.

It's a unique historical property and so it attracts a lot of tourists, especially people from Europe who are looking for a "western experience" Curious what the appetite is for people looking to get into the short term rental market.

The latter land isn't in a tourist town but there are cabins up the road that stay booked all year and not even on the water.

Hudson Amtrak station is the 3rd busiest train station in the Northeast, I believe, so there’s obviously no shortage of tourists to the area.
