I looked into the owner, and he is a realtor that owns at least five properties relatively nearby (within a few miles), and lives about half an hour away. 

For example, if that amount is 400,000 and there are properties that sell for 50,000 nearby then you can buy 7 or 8 properties. 

I'd also consider whether you want to go to college nearby because property is more costly and difficult to manage from a distance.I'd be careful who you move in with you because evictions can take months and cost about $100 if you do it yourself and more if you use an attorney.

Nearby rents are around $900 per month.

It can be expensive to keep a horse boarded, and most owners would prefer to have them nearby anyway so they can look after them easily.

Hello,I have found what I believe is a great investment opportunity in Goose Creek SC and I'm looking for a partner to go 50/50 on the deal as I am currently in contract on another property nearby.  

The area near downtown in the Bull City scares most people but with the inevitable gentrification those so-called "war zones" will eventually be home to the professionals who work at the nearby office buildings, universities, and of course RTP.

Apparently there are two redevelopment corridors nearby (one associated with Brad Pitt).
