that's what i try to do. and that's what i did on the last one. i was quoted 50 per cabinet installation and i installed them myself. saved $500 right there. i do my own plumbing, which saved over 2k on the last job. painting is something i dont like, but hate to pay 1000 per house (typical ranch house).

But, if I were to guess at San Antonio prices and if I were to guess at the quality level you want and if I were to guess at the types of contractors you'd use and if I were to guess at the condition of the property, my *GUESS* would be about $30 per square foot, or about $65K.That would cover all mechanicals (electrical, plumbing, HVAC), insulation, sheetrock, painting, flooring, cabinets, lighting/plumbing fixtures, appliances and trim (for about 2200 square feet).But again, you don't provide much info, so that's a complete guess based on assumptions that could be completely incorrect.

I doubt they're trying to install new kitchen cabinets or go overboard by themselves.

It's been on the market since late March/Early may, and we fixed a number of items outside, had some landscaping done, and installed beautiful granite countertops after repairing a broken cabinet. 

Building the front porch -Installing the Ikea cabinet boxes -Siding on the front of the house -The front porch, again -Wood floors in, walls painted... almost done.

Some of the stuff she does is not all that appealing to me anyway like when she paints the kitchen cabinets the same old dull color she has been painting for the past however many years.
