Sure, if you stuck the same refrigerator in each house, you could allocate, but then if you also put a new toilet in one, new floor in another and a new deck on a third, you would not spread those costs among all the houses.  

I give them a magnetic business card to place on their refrigerator.

I buy refrigerators, carpet, stoves, etc...when I see a deal and store them along w a bunch of other stuff any DIY landlord needs.

It was unlocked of course because of the heavy duty orange extension cord going through the open front door... it was attached at the other end to a multi-outlet strip, into which the tenant had plugged in several lights, the stove, and the refrigerator!  

I didn't see a refrigerator but if you furnish that in some areas you can get away with charging rent for that and for the stove as well. 4) You allow pets.

The kitchen is fully furnished, each bedroom also has a small refrigerator.  

Whereas the one in Alabama will likely not make sense because a refrigerator costs the same regardless if you charge $1100 or $600 a month in rent.
