paul, i think showers are more expensive to buy/install since you have more material to purchase - tiles, backerboard, laying tiles, underlayment, etc.also, cleaning the corners of a shower is harder than rinsing the tub after you wipe it down. but the tubs get chips and cracks in the porcelain.

I know its a waterproof floor, however, ceramic or porcelain tile is more durable for a bathroom remodel and will last longer. 

I'm stuck between doing a waterproof vinyl throughout the living areas and a porcelain tile in the bathrooms or just do the Vinyl throughout.My main idea for the tile was to not give it such a uniform look but curious on other peoples thoughts and why, thank you fir your time!
