If the credit report has extra addresses, try to find the owner to ask about the applicant.If folks had stellar credit and high income, they would probably be buying not renting.

I know Bob Mulloy, at ALLSAFE Home Inspection has a stellar reputation, but may be more expensive than other area inspectors.JigSaw Home Inspection, I have worked with personally and thought they did a great, thorough job, and the price was very reasonable.

I have stellar credit, a great W2 income, and a good DTI if a lender will consider the income on the rental above (most won't because I bought it as a second home).Suggestions on how to approach financing and/or whether or not to pursue the lot?

Access to lending and being part of the US are huge advantages, although in some respects it's almost like an independent country.The problem is that Puerto Rico is in huge economic trouble, with a crushing debt load and a decreasing population (not sure if that's still the case).The Dominican Republic, on the other hand, has put on a consistent stellar economic performance over more than 20 years.
