This election generally will not affect state law asset protection for the member.

Tenant laws are super strict here and there are some cities that have rent control. 

Our government has laws restricting lenders from closing loans that are small loan and high cost so many will not touch these even if investor.

I benefit from step up inheritance laws, so almost no capital gains tax if I sell, I do like the idea of liquidating and putting it into a larger property or multifamily, I do worry about the amount of time hands on, which I need to be s minimal as possible.Thanks!

Not a big deal really, but you do have to follow the laws  when doing abatement.

Its too easy to violate laws by asking inappropriate questions or by not disclosing how you will use the information or by not getting the applicants explicit permission to get background and credit reports.

Housing in Canada is in shorter supply because our PM massively increased immigration rates (over 5 million people in the last ~7 years for a country that prior to that had $35M people). 

If they are month to month, you just have to give them the notice required by local laws (30 days according to google). 

It comes down to the landlord keeping good records and following the laws correctly. 

So, be sure to check your state & local laws and follow them EXACTLY or risk losing.
