I currently have no debt.As you might know, real estate in Switzerland is quite costy and I also feel like it is not a good idea for now (taxes).I was thinking of playing it "high risk, high rewards", by those, I mainly mean eastern European countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, Poland and as a second idea, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, even though they are next to some bully, they are in NATO, so should be ok, I guess.I know some of those countries do not allow foreigners to get a mortgage loan (Lithuania at least) and some countries have high interest rate (Romania, 7%).Here are my two questions: Does anyone have experience with those countries?

I live in Eastern Idaho which I think is a great market for multiple reasons, not the cheapest, but great tenant base.

It is a hub for education, medical, and farming in a vast area that goes from Amarillo down to west Texas and from the Eastern 1/3rd of New Mexico east to Sweetwater.One thing to look out for in TX is high property taxes, Lubbock being no exception.
