I have done research and attended a couple of Real Estate Investment workshops and have learned how it can free me from my current day to day life of basically just work and sleep.

I attended the Russ Whitney 3 day workshop some years back, so I have a bit of education on the subject, but this is my first time making a real attempt at any sort of deal.

First I'd like to say how incredible of a site this is, it is a dream and nothing has made more sense to me in my life.Shout out to Brandon for all the awesome series, and all the podcasts, I am thrilled to be apart of this community.Okay so my story is I recently attended a Than Merrill 2 hr RE class and I truthfully signed up to continue on to a 3 day workshop, when looking into the credibility, a Bigger Pockets forum came up in the search and I have been hooked on this site ever since & got a refund for the workshop!

I can guarantee you that those who complain about the NACA program either simply lack the diligence and patience required or aren't telling the whole story.I suggest that you register for and attend a NACA workshop as soon as possible.

You will find a wealth of information here.Also be sure to check out the following local REIA groups.http://ntarei.com/ This group has a general meeting once a month and hosts a lots of workshops for a small fee.

Where in the Houston area can I find real estate investing workshops or connecting with real estate investors?

Philadelphia is a great diverse real estate market for the cash flow, appreciation and or flip of a property.A couple things to consider;* Pick your neighborhoods and understand there values, rents, taxes (Each Neighborhood Varies in Philadelphia)* Attend a CDC or RCO meeting in the preferred neighborhoods you are considering (They are monthly - Both the Main Meeting and Zoning Meeting) See what is getting approved or turned down in development* Attend your Local REIA (Diversified Investors Group is the largest in the immediate area) They offer sub group meetings, education , workshops etc. at a very inexpensive price.* Also, consider obtaining your RE license - Access is key to your success.

I stay on top of what they are doing and visit their "teaser" workshop most of the times they come through town.
