Hi BP Community,

My name is Anastasia Tran and I am a new real estate investor in Philadelphia, PA. I am looking primarily for buy and hold properties. I am 24 years old, just graduated from college, and currently work full time as a local financial analyst. I can say real estate is actually in my blood and is my truly ambition since I was a kid. My parents have 20 year experience as developers in Vietnam, so the real estate system of my country is quietly different from the US. That’s why I go to BiggerPockets to learn more from professionals here.

I'm interested in meeting other investors in the Philadelphia, PA and discussing the local market and any opportunities that I can bring to the table. My target for the next year is to acquire my first property for rental.

Over the last two months I have listened to most of the BiggerPockets podcasts and I have done market research for the areas that I am interested in, so I figure that it is time to find an agent and to start making offers.

The stories that I have read and listened to on BiggerPockets (the good and the bad) have been encouraging. They have brought me to the point where I believe purchasing "buy and hold" properties is the right move and is something that will be positive for my future family and I in the long term.

Anyways, I look forward to being more active in the forums and finding more information/education from being more involved with bigger pockets.

Take care,

Ana
