That body of knowledge can be frightful sometimes Joel :)I've seen blogs by frustrated poets and authors, just a means to express themselves and that's all well and good to let the creative juices flow, but when it comes to things like advising others in money matters or their health issues or buy a home, you'd think people would have enough sense not to advise if they really didn't know the subject....not always the case I know. :)

At this point, I would say that you are speculating and your investment is too dependent on the health of the local economy which in turn, sounds like it's too dependent on oil and gas.

@Paul Caputo They are both in their 80's and due to health issues can't handle dealing with all the properties.So I guess that's the struggle for any newbie who does not have a ton of cash at hand.

The county health department has no records of there being a septic at all (i assume due to the age of the house, or possibly just not getting a permit).
