Example:  if a ceiling light needed to be moved and/or installed, I'd highlight where it should go (with dimensions noted) and give that to the electrician.

My electrician is working thru options but I also want to try and think creatively as well.The one advantage here is that unit 1 is currently sharing common power, and this would allow us to split it off.

I used licensed plumbers, electrician, and framing contractors (most of what required permits had licensed contractors).In the case of the OP, if seller in disclosure disclosed that owner builder was used and not all work was performed by licensed contractors, he would be compliant with the rules in my markets.Best wishes
