I also took a hit on the sale price due to taking mortgage forbearance which added a significant and unexpected sum to the payoff balance, and while disappointing, the end result was still better than any of the other plans that I had calculated for the property.

As far as an investment is concerned, I know several people who have invested there and their investment returns have been disappointing to say the least and properties are pretty expensive there by Latin/Central American standards.

Such a disappointment.

I have called maybe 10 times, and this has happened each time (so don't waste your time).I'm sharing this because I am disappointed that I sent other folks to them, based SOLELY on a video of theirs that my boss shared with me. 

I use @Chris Mason and he never disappoints on bringing value to the discussion. 

And, the one I hear often from other investors is that the tenant would technically be "improving" your property which is known to get thrown back in your face at the slightest disappointment. 

Or rent the property and plan for increasing cap ex, repairs  and vacancies---and angry/disappointed renters.
