From reading various forums and watching LLC university videos on youtube, the most common recommendation is you should set up an LLC in the state you will be buying the property.

I listen to several wholesaling podcast like max maxwell and wholesaling inc and just started binge watch bigger pockets on youtube. 

I found the CA forms online, and there are also YouTube videos that show how to fill them out.   

Then do a ton of research both on this site and places like YouTube which has great videos on setting up STR's and what you need to do in order to get good reviews.  

As a beginner without the financial support of "family or friends" (F&F), I've noticed many investors and gurus make the suggestion of using family and friends while watching a webinar, youtube video or listening to a podcast. 

AC Service Tech on youtube is a great way to learn all you could ever need to understand about your AC systems.
