People will tell you grades don’t matter and the people who typically say that have bad gradesIf you can maintain grades while working part time then I would get a part time job in real estate.Good books to read include many here on BP, including David Greene’s book, and Brandon turner books.A lot can change between junior year in college and a couple years after.

David Greene's book Long distance investing was a great help to me.

If you haven't read it already, I'd recommend David Greene's book on long distance real estate investing. 

I’m extremely green, and my only experience in construction comes from BiggerPocket’s podcasts and books, but I am extremely motivated to make this thing work.

David Greene's long distance REI book would be a good resource to read. 

It does take time and patience to maneuver through the system but it is very doable with a few connections and an open mind.The storm was a tragic event and I too hope we don't have to experience anything quite like that again, but it has also in my opinion allowed a large group of people (power crews, relief volunteers just to name a few) that may not have ever ventured here an opportunity to experience this paradise first hand.

So like David Greene said in  the No Money, No Deals No Time podcast "I'll pay $65k all cash, $85k if you hold half and $100k if you hold the note at 0% interest.
