He wanted to finish developing the property by adding more storage units, but the current Director of P&Z told him the zoning has changed and will only allow him to place "tourist-related" businesses on the property. 

Hi @Minji Kim BRRRR house hacking in North Jersey is an absolute game changer.   

I do not have the capital at the moment to invest into any type of real estate but i am starting a new job in August and want to develop a plan, therefore i can jump in and execute when I have the available capital. 

Not all of our doors have come from the letters being sent out but 1/3 of them have and being in the real estate game has opened other ways for us to purchase more doors.

As it was my first opportunity to get some skin in the game, I jumped on the deal and we agreed on a 5 year ballon (4% rate, amortized at 15 yrs).

I also recommend reading blogs and forums or watching videos on how to develop a good roommate contract, house rules, etc.

I've had a chat with my realtor and really going over a game plan on how to tackle these properties.

Does anyone have any recommendations for board games, apps or video games that “accidentally on purpose” teach these things as well?

I'm particularly passionate about growing quickly from SFRs into Multi-family and currently developing tools to source and assess deals.Outside of real estate, I enjoy long-form conversations with brilliant people, or at least watching them when there aren't other people around to converse with.
