First timer home buyer

I am a first time home buyer looking to purchase a home/multi-family property. I've been interested in Real Estate for a long time now, was even a loan originator at one point. My goal is to obtain finacial independence and grow that towards generational wealth. Strategies I'm interested in are flippling, house hacking, rentals, medium term rentals, and maybe others. I have a 9-5 that I want out of but want to secure at least my first property prior to leaving it. To be clear, I will keep working but want to be self employeed in the home services business.

@Andrew Lawn - I was you ten years ago.  Now I quit my job, own over 20 properties, flip and own a property management company.  I just went on a 43 day cross country trip with my family.
