My partners and I have just formed our real estate investment business and are considering Danville area to invest.

I’ve been around real estate for decades, and I read in The Economist once that in lively markets like Charlotte, folks will pay a premium for a comfortable room if you’re near major employers.A friend of mine tried something similar out in Austin a while back.. he’d inherited a 4-bedroom property and split it into individual room rentals.

Any person ever worked with Paul Argueta (Dispodragons) or Alex Martinez (Real Estate Skills) as a mentor/coach, what has your experience been like?

This was my second foray into real estate investing, the previous one being through a “full service” turnkey provider.

Just remember you are spending time and money to improve a space that isn't yours and you're not able to take the improvements when you leave, ownership should have some skin in the game especially in a new build.   

Your realtor should be the backbone of your business and be able to help with sending you personalized deal flow, building the rest of your real estate team (PMs, GCs, lenders, etc), showing you the good/bad neighborhoods, developing scope of work and estimating renovations, and so much more!
