If you hire a lawyer who messes up and costs you hundreds of thousands or millions, you can point to them and you may have some recourse... when you start thinking of things in that context, the $250/hour fee doesn't seem so unreasonable

They won't be able to sell without clearing the lien, and you could force the issue (probably wouldn't make sense) if you really wanted that money at the end of 365.At the end of the day, I always consider it from "what makes me look like the reasonable guy and the other guy look like the unreasonable guy?".
