I recently just got started too, and have begun by listening to the Real Estate Rookie Podcast, reading the books by Brandon Turner, and doing "mock" analyses on houses and markets on Zillow.

I'm going to talk with my tax advisor, which is probably where I should have begun in the first place, lol.  

When we spoke to the landlord the next day, they said work on replacing the floor had already begun.

So I have finally begun the construction phase of a 2 car garage conversion ADU.

I've begun building my portfolio in Ohio (born and raised), currently I am only involved in SFHs and duplexes but plan on transitioning into larger multifamily (12-24 units) in 2022.

I have begun talking to lenders and am having trouble doing a conventional refinance on the property due to the property being zoned commercial.  

My process of becoming a multifamily business owner has already begun.

I have begun to establish some realtor contacts to gain more insight. 

Thank you @Ryan Karel and @Humberto Valle.Yes we are trying to enter each deal with an open mind and even though we had set out trying to find properties below 100K that needed some TLC of $10k-$15K to start off, we've begun to realize that we might need increase our overall budget.The houses that come on the market under $100K need a lot more than just TLC and being out of state first time investors we realized that we might end up biting off more than we can chew.

The current state… * We own a multi-family zoned plot of land in Hernando County, FL * We’ve secured a multi-family (Tri-Plex) construction loan with a local bank * We’ve signed a construction contract with a local builder * The project has advanced…site prep has begun and the permit package has been submitted to the county (Hernando County, FL) * Last week the county has informed us all multi-family construction projects larger than a duplex will be considered commercial.
