Visible dirt/dust on almost every surface, trash (including Q-tips) left on bathroom floor, toilet not cleaned, food splatter around kitchen, smudges on walls, windows and mirrors, list goes on... 

I called it a Dust Place.

Got it down to a science pretty much.We have a station in a closet with 3 sets organized ready to go and a cleaning bucket with spray, wipes, dusting cloth, windex, etc.STR turnover averages maybe every 3 days.

It might surprise you to hear about each one - and which is the most important (of course I think I've already let the cat out of the bag). 

Once that is done and the dust has settled, you can go after the contractor (if you can find him) in small claims court. 

South Bend is a mixed bag of neighborhoods.

After about a week, the novelty wore off and it gathered dust like my treadmill.I've found that the only way I will exercise is if someone is barking orders at me.

A set of bags boards would probably be a nice touch as well.  

But I never liked "work like crazy and drive a Flintstones car and reuse plastic bags until you have $2M, and then put the entire $2M into stocks and hope for the best."
