I pulled a toilet in a house currently under rehab the other day and stuck at the mouth of the toilet was a huge plastic toy, too big to get through the bowl and fall into the pipes and just small enough to let water pass through.

So, my wife had someone install one of those tents and the car is parked inside the tent and covered with the car cover that came with the car and a layer of blankets and plastic on top of the car cover.

EDIT - almost forgot about the plastic being used for the dryer exhaust - that has to go and you should replace with either rigid metal or aluminum flex foil exhaust ducting.
