Any ideas for this new real estate investor who is 4-5 years out from retiring from the military in WA state?

I'm totally new to real estate and am hoping to meet and connect with like-minded people in my area.I'm an active duty military member, so if anyone has any experience with how I can use my status (VA Loan, BAH, etc) to improve my REI, please let me know!

My military retirement is about $2,000 a month.

There are exceptions, like military deployment, but not many.

Military attends for free.  

Thus far Airbnb is saying they will not refund the guest as it does not quality for their extenuating circumstances, hopefully they do not reverse course on that decision.My understanding is right now the only valid CV cancellation is if you are travelling from overseas from China or a couple of other countries and your flight was cancelled, or if you are military or medical and and being called to service (existing interpretation of the special circumstances policy as they explained it). 

In the military at the time and moved.  

Tampa was built up after WWII for the Military from MacDill AFB. 2 and 3/1 wooden houses full of termites after 50 years.

I spent many years as what is called dual status soldier in the military reserves.
