We then thought it might be worth it to buy a piece of land, move the mh, do some minor cosmetic work (new tile, paint, etc.) and sell it with the land for a much larger profit.

If you are flipping in woodlands research forest area, you need to do it right and well with wood floors or wood like tiles, nice showers etc., If you are doing fix flip in the hardy toll area, you can go easy bit and still make it nice.
