Very hard to get established unless you buy a buissness or get something in a tourist / ski area.

@Michael Saint-Cyr there are a ton of factors there are your states that don't have income tax like FL, TX, WA, NV and the little ones but with TX you get high property taxes instead, with FL you get high insurance premiums, with WA you get a higher than average cost of living and with NV you get either a tourist heavy economy in Vegas or a high cost smaller city in Northern NV. 

Galveston hosts a lot of great events that continually bring tourists to the island, and dont forget about all of those cruise ships!

Hello,Okaloosa county - anyone knows how tourist tax collection works?

If there recreational opportunities available and it would help bring tourist dollars and a few jobs to the area well so much the better.

There is plenty of traffic though since it is a tourist destination.
