My worry with something like this is that Stranger Things may not have consistent hype around it and this could eventually turn into just a regular home to rent out, but I don't know for sure.

So you need to consider it like a stranger -- would you quit claim deed your property to a stranger? 

It's strange really. 

Not to mention many strangers could have walked in to do laundry at any time. 

That's a lot to ask of a complete stranger!

You're going to pay a stranger $2,400 a year to avoid hurting his feelings?

I'm a professional musician by trade, so needless to say, I am no stranger to diligent, daily work being required to earn and maintain something truly of value that will make you money. 

I learned how to be responsible, be on time, deal with stress, and talk with strangers on a daily basis.

When I open mail from strangers I tend to toss anything that doesn't grab me in the first few sentences. 

Without trying to sound too cold, if someone is stupid enough to hand money over to a complete stranger without touring the house and without having some way of that money being tracked, it's really not my problem.
