You are so correct there are so many avenues to be involved in.Bigger Pockets has various resources: ebooks, blogs, forums, podcasts, webinars, colleagues, keyword alerts, an awards system, a learn section, informative people in many fields of real estate, and more.If you have time consider spending 30 minutes for 30 consecutive days on Bigger Pockets.

I have been through the Podcasts, downloaded the eBooks, attended my first REIA and started my own RE resource library (I think I now own shares in Barnes & Noble). 

Not to mention the many different sources of knowledge from the BP podcasts, to the blog articles, to the ebooks.
