Newbie from Long Island NY

Hi my name is Terri-ann Morgan I am a behavior specialist who works with the disabled. My husband and I are also foster parents and my goal is to build a rental portfolio one to two properties per year and retire in ten years and live off the income of my properties while I provide a home for atleast four children in foster care who would otherwise grow up in the system with no family or structure. I currently own a waterfront property in Long island which I would like to renovate and turn into a rental. I am here to learn and network . I would like to learn how I could get financing to start my rental portfolio and I am open to learn anything about real estate that will help me get to my goal.
