I'm glad I caught that early this year so I can start reserving for it.I like land in the Arizona desert because 1) I know I won't be buying an abandoned house that costs more to repair than it's worth; and 2) It's all sand and tumbleweed so if they are redeemed, I don't have to worry about the city fining me or having liens on the property for overgrown weeds :)Interest rate is 16% this year though it seems lately you end up in a loss position after the lawyer charges fees for noticing (that $20 in interest is offset by a $100 legal bill for notice of redemption prior to filing in court).
