Tax Lien/Deed Investing: Networking

Hello All!

I have just starting investing in Tax Liens (in January).  I have bought some in FL.

I wanted to network with fellow tax lien/deed investors on Bigger pockets.

What have you bought?

Best states to buy in (besides FL) ?

Any good or bad stories??

Would like to get a hold of more lists of liens in FL and other states as well...

I know that FL auctions are coming up in May/June.. any advice bidding?

Deeds? any success there?

Thanks!

Yes.  Texas does have a 180 day redemption period unless the property is a homestead, has an agricultural exemption or is a stand alone mineral lease, then it is a 2 year redemption period.  However, it almost impossible to get a title policy until at least 2 years because of the right to contest the sale unless properly notified.  That has nothing to do with redemption, it is another law.  While it is true that the properties are being bid up way too high for investors that is not necessarily true in a smaller counties and lower priced houses.  Unlike some other states, when you buy in Texas you get immediate possession and can collect rent right away.  You can also do rehab work and get repaid if redeemed as long as it is to "maintain, preserve, and safekeep"  the property.
