@Emily Paul here the best places for short term would be on the East End by the universities and hospitals, North Shore by the sports stadiums/AGH, or right across the river from Downtown/Oakland like South Side and Mt.

Given the new Samsung campus plus the 7MM sq.ft. of new office space to be built for Amazon at the Bay 101 site, I expect the housing market for downtown and north San Jose to be hot in the very near future.

I think that the property will appreciate in the coming years given the developmental phase in North Philly but wanted to get more perspective on if I'm analyzing this correctly.

Maybe spending 10 years on a work farm in North Dakota and then sending them back home will have an affect. 

The western mountainous area is split roughly north and south.

It's a townhouse in North Charlotte, NC near UNC close to rail system.

One hour north is Savannah Airport and one hour south is Jacksonville, FL airport.

With rates being north of 7% it's going to be pretty tricky to find anything that will cash flow.
