We are largely dependent on lower wage employment like hospitality/restaurant and tourism so many of those people that do own will be in trouble and likely go into foreclosure or do loan mods which will also get them in trouble down the line.

They are not touting the returns, dad had to do extensive due diligence (both legal and financial) I guess it's the same as owning holiday rentals, as long as they keep the property up and the Australian tourism market keeps on keeping on, things should go OK.I'm pretty sure it's open for new money, that's what I was discussing with him last night.
