I don't know what it is with tenants and screens (do they all attend a 'how to not treat or properly install screens' class?)

In addition to studying here on BP you should attend local REI meetings in your area to network with others and build relationships.

You should start attending regular meet ups and an investment club too.

I am currently attending college for Mechanical Engineering and feel as though real estate is a good fit for my schedule.

I would definitely finish school and in your spare time network, attend REI meetings and shadow other investors and learn as much as you can while you finish school.

I'm a local investor and have not attended a local REIA.  

Have you attended the REIAs in your area?

I'm attending my first local REI club tomorrow night so hoping to learn much more and make contacts.

Are there any regular meetups or groups that I could attend?
