@Marjorie Martin There is no question what amount the county charged for taxes for the year 2019......anyone can simply go to the Tax Collector site for that county and enter the address.The reason the property taxes went up significantly when it transferred from your father to you and your sister, as you are apparently unaware, was likely due to FL Save Our Home laws which cap the annual increase for a person’s homestead in assessment value at 3%/year.

@Logan Heydt since Rhode Island has come up let me say, it has its pluses and minuses like most areas.On the plus side, you'll definitely find buildings that are much more accessible price-wise than the greater Boston area.On the down side, rents will be correspondingly lower as well, and the RI economy isn't nearly as vibrant as Boston.In terms of economic booms and busts, RI is usually the first to dip down when there's a recession and the last to come back.

After a lot of digging, found an ongoing case through casenet between the owner of the property and a debt collector.

As a native to Nashville, TN, I am familiar with booming investment areas and have some pretty extensive expertise in flipping/rental real estate as well.

I remember back in 2007 when real estate was booming -- but borrowers were getting no-doc loans and people without income or assets were leveraged up to their necks.A couple years later, everyone was saying, "I'm not sure how it wasn't obvious to everyone that the market was broken and it all had to come crumbling down?"

I offered some 'free work'  in getting the deal rolling, then boom, I'm a JV partner in it when I was just trying to 'get' a 'free education' and offer value.

When you use third party collectors who do not give you PCI compliance, you are subject to charge backs for which you have not control over. 

(Heck, even in booming times I would not expect a tenant to be anything less than outraged by a 25% hike, even though it's what the market will bear.) 

They have boom lifts, man lifts, scissor lifts, golf carts, UTVs, portable lighting, etc.
