Purchasing an abandoned property from debt collector.
Recently found a home in a nice neighborhood that appears to be abandoned with nuisance notices on the door. After a lot of digging, found an ongoing case through casenet between the owner of the property and a debt collector. I personally have not been able to get in touch with the owner. I'm guessing the debt collectors have had the same issue. Maybe they left town. Has anyone had experience with something like this. Wondering if there is a way I can step in and acquire the property in the midst of this process.
Thanks,
Nick
