I always recommend the book "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor", by Gary Keller to anyone that's new to investing.

It's a quick read, and it's fiction, but the message is great.Perhaps it's not the right approach, but I think The Millionaire Real Estate Investor by Gary Keller is both motivating and quite encompassing.
