auto rates may be low, but depreciation is high, much higher than cash. paying off cars is by far the best option here IMO.

Add in on-line auto rent payments, every thing is taken care of automatically. 

Having an open autorization for the manager (maybe the attorney) to borrow funds is something to be done to pay tax liabilities or other issues.

yeah definitly get the lenders info and that form filled out in one shot. depending on the lender some will take an autorization to release info with you and the borower right over the phone and make you the agent/contact for the borrower.
