The fear and noise in the office kicked my a** into high gear to accumulate income producing assets to quickly get out of the rat race. 

RE ownership has been seen for decades as the basis for accumulating wealth and a rock solid investment.

Unfortunately our government "protects" people from investing in these deals and instead pushes everyone to the sanitized products that lower the big firm's cost of capital at the expense of helping Joe Six Pack accumulate wealth.I could go on and on...but I don't want to bore you to death ;-)

Most of those costs will accumulate each month and many need to actually be capitalized on an ongoing basis.

TAKE YOUR TIME.Money is hard to accumulate but easy to lose.Diversifying for the sake of diversifying doesn't make sense.

I'm just starting to accumulate rentals.  

Small items might be taken care of but in the end the majority of the maintenance just gets postponed and accumulates.
