just like orange juice and hog bellies.us and Ca have been wrangling over this stuff for as long as I have been around the log supply business. and at least in BC ( British Columbia) the largest timber concern is Warehouser an american concern... :)our lumber pac's this year are consistent with last year.what the beef is the crown sells stumpage at an artificially low price compared to what the state and federal timber in US is sold for on the stump and what private timber owners sell their stumpage for.. thereby giving CA and unfair advantage ergo tarrifs..the delivered log price on the west coast has not changed dramatically this logging season.
