If your looking for knowledge I would recommend CCIM and/or the UW's "Certificate in Commercial Real Estate" - I've completed both and have been extremely valuable in analysis.

It's not like a certification of knowledge of local laws or anything, and I would hazard to guess that many (if not most) landlords are ignorant of the vast majority of the laws.

A gentleman responded to my offer via email stating that his wife is the executor for the deceased wife.Generally is it enough to just have her sign the deed and have documentation such as a Death Certificate and a legal doc stating she is the executor to have the property placed in my name?
